When we eat carbohydrates our blood sugar levels rise and our body releases insulin to take the sugar out of the blood and into the cells to be used as energy or stored as fat for later use. If insulin is released too much too often it creates what is called insulin resistance. This eventually leads to Type 2 Diabetes, and now research shows it is also a leading cause of Alzheimer's Disease.
We are going to establish a baseline for your tolerance to carbohydrates, and therefore getting insulin release under control.
